Tokfluence is a searchable index of millions of TikTok creators, plus the crawler that fills it. Brands and agencies use it, directly or through an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, to find creators and save them to lists.
Questions are answered below. For anything else, email support@tokfluence.com or report a bug. Read our privacy policy and terms.
Connecting Tokfluence to ChatGPT
Which address do I paste?
https://developers.tokfluence.com/mcp. It is the only address the connection needs, and it is the
same for ChatGPT, Claude and every other assistant.
How do I sign in?
When ChatGPT connects, it opens a Tokfluence screen that names the app and lists what it will be able to do. Sign in with your Tokfluence account and click Allow. There is no key to copy. Searching and reading your lists always come with the connection; starting crawls is a separate tick box, because each crawl costs credits, and you can leave it off.
Connecting an assistant comes with any paid Tokfluence plan.
Can I use an API key instead?
Yes, in any client that lets you set a header. Send
Authorization: Bearer tkf_live_... with POST https://developers.tokfluence.com/mcp.
A key carries no scopes: it can spend your credits and start crawls. Give the assistant
its own key that you can revoke on its own. API keys come with the Developer plan: the
API keys page sends
anyone without it to billing.
It stopped working after I connected it.
Sign-in tokens last an hour and refresh on their own. If the assistant reports that it is not authorised, disconnect Tokfluence on the Connected apps page and connect it again. If that does not fix it, tell us.
Creator searches and results
My search returned no creators.
Every search answer says whether the index really covers that niche. Try other words: different words find different people. Ask the assistant to suggest keywords first; that tool is free and returns the hashtags creators in the niche actually post under. If coverage is still thin, a crawl can add creators.
Why is a creator I know missing?
Either we have not indexed them yet, which a crawl fixes, or a filter left them out: a region, a follower range, or a freshness limit on when we last analysed the profile. Creators whose bio states an age under 18 are always left out, and looking one up by name answers "not found". Nothing turns that off.
How many results can I get?
The assistant gets 25 creators a page and can keep paging. Through the REST API a page holds up to 100, and page-number paging stops at 10,000 results; cursor paging has no limit. In ChatGPT, ask for a big list in stages ("find the first 100, then keep going"): one huge request can time out, and the list is saved as it goes, so nothing is lost.
What is an Ultra Search list?
Every account gets 1 free Ultra Search a month, and every paid plan comes with more: 3 a month on Pro, 15 a month on Agency, unlimited on Discovery Service. You describe the creators you want, our bots crawl TikTok for them, and the list lands in Lists in the Tokfluence app automatically. No one on our team reviews it first.
Lists
How do I save creators?
Ask the assistant to make a list and add the creators it found. Creating lists and adding to them are free. It can add up to 500 creators in one go, and a creator already on the list is skipped, not duplicated.
Where do I see my lists?
On your Tokfluence dashboard, the same lists whether you made them in the app or through an assistant. From there you can track each creator's status and export the list to CSV.
Can my team see my lists?
A connection is personal. On a team, each person signs in with their own Tokfluence account, and their assistant uses their own lists and credits.
Credits and crawls
What costs credits?
Search costs 1 credit per creator returned, so a page of 100 costs 100 and an empty page nothing. One creator's full record costs 1. A live fetch of a creator's latest posts costs 25, and starting a crawl 250. Lists, keyword suggestions, your balance and a crawl's progress are free. The assistant and the REST API spend the same credits at the same rates.
Do I get credits back when something fails?
Yes. Any metered call that does not end in 200, 201 or 204 is refunded in full, including "bad request" and "not found", and so is a call that raises. The refund shows in your usage. A request refused by validation before it is metered is never charged.
When do my credits refill?
Every 30 days from the day your subscription started. Each refill adds your plan's monthly credits to what is left. Unused credits carry over, but your balance after a refill is capped at twice your monthly grant. To see where you stand, ask the assistant for your balance: that check is free and returns your balance, monthly grant and next refill date. On the Developer plan, the same figures are on the Credits page.
What is a crawl, and how long does it take?
A crawl searches TikTok itself for a niche we do not cover yet: you give it hashtags, and our crawler follows them, finds creators and adds the ones that fit to the index. It runs for hours, not seconds, and results arrive gradually. Before starting one, the assistant tells you what it will crawl, the cost and your balance, and waits for your yes. You can run 3 at once, and pause one at any time.
Account and authentication
What does an API key look like?
tkf_live_ followed by 32 letters and numbers. We show it once, when you create it,
and only store a fingerprint of it, so we cannot show it again. If you lose one, create a new
key and revoke the old.
How do I rotate a key?
On the API keys page, create a new key, switch your client to it, then click Revoke on the old one. A revoked key stops working on its next request.
How do I disconnect ChatGPT?
On the Connected apps page, click Disconnect next to it. It stops working straight away, not at the end of the hour.
How do I delete my account?
On your profile page in the Tokfluence app, click Delete Account. It cancels your subscription immediately, with no refund for the rest of the billing period, and permanently deletes your data. It cannot be undone.
